Sustainability Information

Here is some "food for thought" for the future of the DMT certificate:
Your Turn Worksheet #1: Mapping Your Current Sustainability Strengths
In each pie section of the circle below, rate your organization’s level of effectiveness by drawing a line in each of the four quadrants – the circle center is 0% and the outside ring is 100%. Connect the lines and see how well shaped your inner circle is. If your circle is not round, clearly there are further opportunities for you to strengthen your efforts at sustainability.

Your Turn Worksheet #2: Building Your Case for Support
Answer each of the following questions to begin building your case for support.  A strong case for support helps as you plan for the sustainability of your impacts.  Be as specific as you can be.  This is important to discuss with your staff and board team.

What need/problem do we address?

What is a key or little known statistic(s) that illustrates the need? (attention grabber)

How are we responding to meet the need?

What is our desired outcome(s)?  What results have been achieved?  (Think about student and system changes.)

What’s the win-win? Why should others want to actively support our efforts?

How do our offerings align with other community programs?  What’s unique?
What’s not?

Your Turn Worksheet #3: Internal Support Mapping
